Ella Travel connects independent travelers 1:1 with verified Local Advisors via phone, video or WhatsApp chat for personalized travel advice they can trust.

Our Advisors are verified journalists, photographers, local guides, sommeliers, and long-time residents with deep, earned knowledge of their destinations. They are savvy, well-connected women who inherently understand the importance of safety, authenticity, and connection, bringing unique perspectives to every trip.

Most importantly: they are trustworthy. Ella Travel local advisors work only for the traveler — they never earn commission or take kickbacks from recommendations made to a traveler on an Ella Travel consultation.

Honest Advice, Always

We never take money from travel suppliers, so your advice is never compromised. You are paid for your time and expertise—never for what a traveler books. We trust you to give your honest take, even if it means telling them to skip a popular spot.

Our Advisors are savvy, knowledgeable women with unique perspectives on their destinations. From sommeliers and pastry chefs to art insiders and modern historians to sun-seekers and nature lovers, they bring deep local expertise to every trip.
You can expect to hear whether your application has been successful within 72hrs of your vetting call.
Advisors set their own rates and generally charge between $40 and $200 per session to provide honest, unbiased recommendations. 75% of every Local Advisor booking fee goes directly to you.
Payments are made via Wise, PayPal or Sling every Friday following a concluded consultation.
We offer two consultation time lengths: 30 and 60 minutes. Advisors can select how many time consultations they’d like to offer.
Every Advisor in our network is carefully vetted through a multi-step verification process to ensure she’s knowledgeable, trustworthy, reliable, and uniquely equipped to help independent travelers plan their dream trip.
